Literature Text

I was born
somewhere in the slums
I'll make it out
Yeah; me and my buds
I won't quit; I won't lose the race
Face each day, a smile on my face

That's why they call me

Fat
Fat Albert, man.
Because I'm huge.
Fat
Fat Albert, man.
And I will not lose!

Our instruments; music made from junk
We've got skills; we can bring the funk.
Nine dozen shows broadcast on TV
A million souls; they've been touched by me.

I can hear them say…

Fat
Fat Albert, man.
Because I'm huge.
Fat
Fat Albert, man.
And I will not lose!

[solo]

Hey hey hey…

Fat
Fat Albert, man.
Because I'm huge.
Fat
Fat Albert, man.
And I will not lose!

Tell me you've been down for a while, oh but I'll make you smile.
It's the way I play. Been at it a while.
Oh, and now you're happy now, eh?
Laugh out loud.
Laugh out loud.
Yeah, I'm Fat Albert.
Make the kids smile…
Parody of "Bad Company," first by the 70s act Bad Company and most recently covered by Five-Finger Death Punch.

I've been reading one of Bill Cosby's books recently, and he made mention of the Fat Albert cartoon.

The song in question came on the radio while I was making it home from college, and so here it is.
